DYLAN DUNNINK
ART POP

ABOUT
Ethereal. Organic. Strength in fragility.
Dylan Dunnink is a vocalist, songwriter and all-round creative who questions what it means to be a young adult through music, music which is filled with a wide range of emotions that seek the outer edges of his androgynous personality.
With silken falsetto’s and soul-tearing cries, all is said in ways his words could never.
Inspired by artists such as Moses Sumney, Saya Gray, Thom Yorke, an underlying layer of jazz idioms, and a hefty dose of stubbornness, a result appears in the form of introspective Art Pop, where Dylan places experimental thought in a pop framework.
The lyrics reflect Dylan’s personal struggles and experiences with themes such as (bi)sexuality, the nuances of personality versus the "man-woman" society, and all the consequences of the battle with these subjects.
